It possesses some or all of the functions of data acquisition, information storage and processing, status monitoring, safety management and remote operation, fault diagnosis and alarm (gas leak alarm, shut-off alarm, abnormal door opening alarm) for process equipment such as filters, pressure regulators, inlet and outlet valves, alarms, and flow meters, as well as environmental and perimeter parameters.
